Our Senior School students benefit from small class sizes that allow for personalised learning experiences. This ensures each student is known, seen and heard, giving them the best opportunity to develop their confidence, capability, and self-worth - assets that serve them well beyond their senior years.
The exemplary educators work in partnership with the curriculum and state-of-the-art facilities including the Kerferd Library, award winning sports fields and VCE Centre, to provide an enriching academic experience.
The Senior School spans from Year 7 to Year 12, building upon a strong foundation of previous learnings, fostering continuous growth and academic progress for every student.
Years 7 and 8: These years are known as a ‘Journey of Discovery’. The curriculum, in conjunction with our rich co-curricular offerings, has been designed to take advantage of these important transition years, where girls experience significant cognitive, physiological and emotional growth. Our students are supported and guided, as they start discovering opportunities and learning the importance of taking ownership of their learning.
Years 9 and 10: These middle years, we are ‘Creating a Strong Foundation’, where students are broaden their horizons, focus on areas of interest and give more thought to their pathways after leaving school. Students personalise their learning program through the selection of elective subjects, encouraging them to grow and expand their passions.
Years 11 and 12: The last two years of Senior School are known as the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE). We provide a generous selection of subjects that challenge students and provide them with enjoyment whilst also fulfilling tertiary entrance requirements. Our VCE students have access to a dedicated VCE building to support them through these challenging and exciting years. We are extremely proud of our VCE students and our tradition of outstanding results and pathways.

Our Senior School curriculum also extends to a diverse range of academic enrichment opportunities. This is through our:

Tailored to suit all needs

LEADING THE WAY
At Mentone Girls' Grammar, we recognise the importance of technology in supporting student learning and development, particularly for our VCE students. We utilise extensive technologies to ensure that our students have access to the latest tools and resources, enabling them to reach their full potential.
A RICH HISTORY
To further help our VCE students achieve their ambitions, we introduce them to our Alumnae, the Mentone Girls’ Grammar Old Girls’ Club (OGC). This club—featuring over 7,000 remarkable graduates in more than 50 countries—not only provides ongoing mentoring to our current students, but also aims to foster a sense of community and networking. Upon graduating, all our students become a member of this Club, enjoying many benefits to help keep them connected within our community.
