With the wide range of sporting opportunities available, students are encouraged to participate and strive to achieve their goals, whilst building positive relationships within the school community.
Junior School students from Years 3 to 6 are strongly encouraged to participate in some form of competitive sport, with a focus on promoting the spirit of sportsmanship. Students in Years 5 and 6 have the opportunity to participate in Girls' Sport Victoria (GSV) inter-school competitions against other independent schools. Additionally, we offer morning running club and surf lifesaving to further enhance our students' sporting experiences.
Sport is highly valued at Mentone Girls' Grammar with all students across Years 5 - 12 having the opportunity to participate in competitive and non-competitive sports all year round.
Our Senior School students also have the opportunity to compete in GSV competitions, allowing them to showcase their skills, foster teamwork, and represent our school in a range of sports at a high level.
To support our extensive sports program, we provide students with access to Strength & Conditioning, Pilates, and Yoga. Additionally, our extracurricular offerings include Community Netball, which competes every Saturday, as well as Aerobics, Dance and Glee, Recreational Swimming, Learn to Dive, Recreational Tennis, and Self-Defence.
