Applications are invited for the position of Netball Coach at Mentone Girls’ Grammar to commence Term 1, 2025.

The School is looking for suitably qualified, enthusiastic, and innovative Netball Coaches to join our team in a casual capacity. Mentone Girls' Grammar is a Girls' Sport Victoria school and competes in a community Saturday competition at KDNA (Kingston & Districts Netball Association). 

As a Netball Coach, you will be given the opportunity to work with all members of the School’s Sports program to create the best opportunity for students to have successful and enjoyable sporting experiences and be a positive role model for our students. We are looking for applicants who are energetic and confident working with children of all ages and abilities, and who are proven team players with strong communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and implement training plans that focus on individual and team development, maximise participation and emphasise both technical and tactical components.
• Provide consistent and regular feedback of performance to students.
• Ensure that all students are supported and challenged positively within the sport program.
• Ensure the safety and duty of care of all students, at all times.

You will be:

• An accredited coach (or willing to obtain)
• Experienced in coaching or playing netball.
• Confident in delivering planned training programs that engage students and improve skills.
• Willing to develop your coaching skills and experience and receptive to feedback.
• Flexible, adaptable, and willing to be a team player.

Special requirements

• Current Full VIT Registration or Working with Children Check (Employee)
• Level 1 Coaching Accreditation (preferred or willing to obtain)
• Strong understanding and knowledge of netball 
• First Aid Certification
