As a School, whose strategic and moral imperative is to Empower Girls, specifically through a liberal, humane, progressive education, Mentone Girls’ Grammar is seeking to appoint an experienced and enthusiastic Junior School Music Teacher to join our Junior School.
The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering a creative and inspiring Music Program and demonstrate creativity and rigour in the delivery of curriculum and enjoys working in a diverse, dynamic and committed team. You will have a demonstrated teaching ability and passion for teaching Music in a primary school (ELC-6) setting and you will understand the emotional development and particular needs of girls.
Mentone Girls' Grammar currently has a strong Kodály based classroom music program in the Junior School. The candidate should be trained with or currently undertaking training in the Australian Kodály Certificate to continue the current program.
At the heart of this role will be a teacher who will have a natural rapport with staff and students and have the ability to engage students and inspire them to achieve the best results.
This position is being offered as a part-time, fixed term role (Parental leave replacement). The Successful candidate will be able to commence in Term 2, 2025.
