As a School, whose strategic and moral imperative is to Empower Girls, specifically through a liberal, humane, progressive education, Mentone Girls’ Grammar is seeking to appoint a talented and highly motivated individual to join our Music Department, as an Instrumental Music Teacher (Flute).
Reporting to the Head of Music Programs, you will be responsible for nurturing a passion of music in each student and assist in conducting a Music program that caters for different learning styles and ability levels, with an understanding of the emotional development and particular needs of girls.
This role will involve teaching flute to Year 2 to VCE (Units 1-4) students, developing students’ appreciation of music through teaching music theory and practical skills, as well as preparing students for VCE solo performances and AMEB examinations.
Taking Flute Choir and demonstrable recent experience in teaching VCE Music - Flute (Units 1-4) and is essential for this role.
Candidates must be able to teach one day per week and be available to work on Fridays.
